American celebrity Valerie Harper, who is known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern on the TV show "The Mary Tyler Moore Show" and the series "Rhoda," has been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, according to media reports.
In an interview with People magazine, as quoted by Xinhuanet, Harper, actress 73 years, said she had been diagnosed with terminal brain cancer, a disease that might just give her a chance to live three months.
Harper received that sad news on January 15.
She said she will undergo chemotherapy to slow the progression of cancer, but she also wanted the focus to utilize the remaining time.
"I do not think about death. I think being here now .." said Harper to People.
The actress has a rare condition that is leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, in which cancer cells spread to the lining of the brain fluid. Harper, non-smoker, in 2009 struggling with lung cancer.
